Reported pay at a glance
Whole shifts (an Indian Express reporter in Delhi, January 2026):
- Zomato: ₹355 for 6 deliveries in one day's shift.
- Blinkit: ₹313.27 for 11 deliveries between 1 pm and 7 pm on 10 January 2026, one six-hour shift.
- Swiggy: ₹114 for 6 deliveries in one day's shift, cut by penalties for orders turned down.
Single orders:
- Blinkit: ₹33.11 for one delivery of about 2.5 km plus stairs in Vasant Kunj, including a weight-based incentive (same Indian Express reporter, January 2026).
- Swiggy Instamart: ₹34 for a night-time order about 3.9 km away, ₹29 for an order about 3.3 km away (there and back), and ₹15 per order for two short orders of about 0.8 km and 1 km. These come from a reporter's test deliveries from the Kalkaji store in May 2026.

Per order or per shift: what moved the pay
The examples come in two units. A per order figure is what one delivery paid. A per day figure is the total for one shift, so it depends on how many orders came in during that shift.
What changed the pay in these examples:
- Distance. On Swiggy Instamart, the short orders paid ₹15 each, while the trips of about 3.3 km and 3.9 km paid ₹29 and ₹34.
- Weight and effort. Blinkit's ₹33.11 order included a weight-based incentive, for a delivery that also meant climbing stairs.
- Penalties. The Swiggy shift and the Zomato shift both had 6 deliveries, but the Swiggy one paid ₹114 against ₹355, because penalties for turned-down orders cut it.

Before you count on any figure
- When our team calls you back, ask how the opening pays: per order, per shift or per ride.
- Ask about any joining or onboarding fee and how it is cut from your pay. Our joining fees guide lists what to check.
- Be careful with turning orders down: in the Swiggy example, penalties pulled the shift's pay down.
