First, pick the kind of delivery work
Delivery work in Delhi NCR comes in a few types. Each one feels different on the road.
- Food delivery: Swiggy and Zomato. You pick up from restaurants and deliver hot food.
- Quick commerce (groceries in minutes): Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BB Now, Flipkart Minutes and Amazon Now. You work from a store near your area.
- Parcels: Amazon Flex, Delhivery, Ekart, Shadowfax and XpressBees deliver e-commerce parcels. Porter partners carry goods on trips that customers book.
- Bike taxi: Rapido and Uber Moto. Here you carry a passenger. Rapido Captains can also take parcel, food and grocery deliveries.
Not sure? Think about what you have (a bike, a cycle or nothing yet) and how many hours you can give. Swiggy, Swiggy Instamart and Porter all say you can work part-time or full-time.
Check the basics before you apply
Most companies ask for the same few things:
- Age: Blinkit, Zomato, Rapido, XpressBees, Uber Moto and Amazon Flex all ask that you are at least 18 years old.
- A smartphone: the work runs on an app. Some companies ask for a newer phone. Zomato asks for Android 6.0 or higher with at least 2 GB RAM. Amazon Flex asks for Android 13 or higher with at least 3 GB RAM.
- A vehicle: most companies want a two-wheeler. Swiggy, Swiggy Instamart and Zepto also work with cycles. Shadowfax and Rapido (in Delhi) rent out electric vehicles.
- A driving licence if you ride a bike or scooter. The law says nobody may drive a motor vehicle on the road without one.
- A bank account: pay goes there.

Keep your documents ready
The company checks your documents before your first order. Keep these ready:
- PAN card and Aadhaar card
- Driving licence, RC and insurance if you ride a bike or scooter
- Pollution certificate (PUC) for a petrol bike
- Bank account details
Each company asks for a slightly different list. Our guide on documents needed for delivery jobs shows what each company lists, and how to get a missing document.
How applying through our site works
- Fill in our form on this page: your name, phone number, city and area.
- Our team calls you back to talk about openings near you.
- Keep your phone on and your documents ready for the call.
- After that, the company does its own checks and training before your first order.
We are an independent site, not a delivery company. We never ask you to sign up on a brand's app through us. Want news of new openings? Tap Get delivery job updates.
Ask about joining fees
Some companies charge a fee when you join. Ask about it before you start.
- Swiggy says its onboarding fee is around ₹1,500. It varies by city and is cut from your pay in instalments.
- Swiggy Instamart, Zomato and Blinkit charge an onboarding or joining fee. The amount depends on the city and is not on their pages.
- Zepto may charge onboarding and training fees and a refundable security deposit, cut from your payouts.
- Porter and XpressBees say there is no fee to join.
- Rapido says joining is free, but its terms allow fees or a subscription shown in the app.
What happens in your first days
- Checks: most companies do a background check first. Amazon says its check usually takes 2 to 5 business days.
- Training: Blinkit, Shadowfax and Flipkart Minutes give training before your first order. Rapido asks for a 30-hour induction training.
- A trial run: Porter gives one trial (dummy) order after your documents are checked.
- Pay: Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit, Shadowfax, Delhivery, XpressBees and Uber pay weekly into your bank account. Amazon Flex pays on the days you choose, as early as the next day.
Once you start, also register on e-Shram, the government's free database of unorganised workers. You only need your Aadhaar number and the mobile number linked to it.
